Terms of Service

Effective Date: 31st March, 2026

Welcome to Dr. Tech. By engaging our services—including device repairs, parts replacement, and refurbished device purchases. You agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Repair Estimates & Diagnostic Fees

  • Estimates: Any price provided at the time of intake is an estimate based on the reported issue. If further damage is discovered during repair, we will pause and contact you for approval before proceeding.

  • Diagnostic Fee: A non-refundable diagnostic fee may apply if a device is checked but the customer decides not to proceed with the repair. This covers the technician’s time and expertise.

2. Data Backup & Loss Disclaimer

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the customer to back up all data (photos, contacts, messages, and applications) before surrendering the device to Dr. Tech.

  • No Liability: While we take every precaution, Dr. Tech shall not be held liable for any loss of data, software corruption, or SIM card/memory card loss during the repair process.

3. Device Abandonment Policy

To manage our storage and inventory efficiently, the following policy applies to all devices left at our service center:

  • Notification: We will notify you via SMS, call, or email once your device is ready for pickup.

  • Storage Period: Devices must be claimed within thirty (30) days from the date of the first notification.

  • Disposal/Liquidation: Devices unclaimed after ninety (90) days will be considered abandoned. Dr. Tech reserves the right to dispose of or sell the device to recover repair costs, storage fees, and parts expenses without further notice to the customer.

4. Risk of "Dead" Devices

  • For devices that are already "Dead" or have severe water damage upon arrival, there is a risk that the device may not power on again during the diagnostic or repair attempt. By submitting such a device, the customer acknowledges this risk and holds Dr. Tech harmless.

5. Parts & Quality

  • We use high-quality replacement parts. Unless explicitly stated as "Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)," parts are premium-grade aftermarket components tested for compatibility and performance.

6. Warranty Limitations

  • All services are subject to the Dr. Tech Warranty Policy. Any tampering with the internal "Warranty Seal" or physical/liquid damage after the repair will immediately void all service agreements.

7. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required upon the release of the device. We accept cash and [Insert other payment methods like GCash/Maya if applicable]. No device will be released without full settlement of the repair bill.

8. Compliance with Philippine Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Consumer Act (RA 7394) and the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).
