Warranty Policy

At Dr. Tech, we stand behind the quality of our workmanship and the parts we provide. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage and limitations for our repair services and refurbished device sales in accordance with the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394).

By engaging our services or purchasing a device, customers agree to the terms below.

1. Warranty Coverage & Duration

We provide specific warranty periods based on the type of service or product provided:

  • 7-Day Repair Warranty: All mobile device repairs (including screen replacements, battery changes, and hardware fixes) are covered for seven (7) calendar days from the date of release. This covers the specific part replaced and the labor associated with that repair.

  • 1-Month Refurbished Device Warranty: All refurbished mobile phones purchased from Dr. Tech are covered by a one (1) month limited warranty starting from the date of purchase. This covers internal hardware defects and manufacturing issues.

2. Conditions for Warranty Claims

To honor a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:

  • Proof of Service: The original Repair Job Order (JO) or Sales Invoice must be presented.

  • Warranty Sticker: The "Dr. Tech" warranty seal/sticker must be intact and untampered. Any evidence of the sticker being peeled, broken, or altered will void the warranty immediately.

  • Original Issue: For repairs, the warranty only applies to the specific part or fault addressed in the original service. New or unrelated faults are not covered.


3. Warranty Exclusions (What is Not Covered)

The warranty for both repairs and refurbished devices shall be rendered void under the following circumstances:

  • Physical Damage: Any cracks, dents, or screen bleeding caused by accidental drops or pressure after the device has left our premises.

  • Liquid Damage: Any exposure to water, moisture, or corrosion, regardless of the device’s original manufacturer "waterproof" rating.

  • Third-Party Tampering: If the device has been opened, repaired, or modified by another technician or the user after our service.

  • Software Issues: Issues caused by unauthorized "rooting," "jailbreaking," or OS updates that lead to "bricking" the device.

4. Claim Process

If you encounter an issue within the warranty period:

  1. Bring the device back to the Dr. Tech service center.

  2. Our technicians will perform a diagnostic check to confirm if the fault is covered under our terms.

  3. If valid, we will prioritize the repair or replacement with no additional cost.

Note: In line with Philippine consumer laws, Dr. Tech does not offer "Change of Mind" returns or refunds once the service is completed or the device is sold.
